There is no other heavy metal band that I know of that attracts so many different people, from seasoned fans to Hell's Angels to girls in pretty dresses to kids at what could be their first ever gig. Motorhead appeal to such a huge range of people.
When the air raid siren cut through the packed Civic Hall you could feel the crowd surge towards the stage and they were off for over an hour's worth of what Lemmy calls 'Rock'n'Roll' and I'm not going to argue with him.

Lemmy genuinely seemed happy to be playing in Wolverhampton again and the crowd were more than happy to see him, with a mosh pit that almost filled a third of the venue !
Playing a mix of new and old material you can easily understand why after over 35 years a band with next to no stage antics or gimmicks are still one of the undisputed must see heavy metal bands in the world.
With an assault of strobe lights, Lemmy, Phil and Mikkey wrap up the night with the high-energy classic 'Overkill' , before walking off stage to a barrage of feedback.
They were Motorhead and they're louder than anything else, which I can say is true when I still had partial hearing loss 24 hours later....
